Nick and Anna were the choreographers for the piece; I know them from Breed (a dance group I was on in Seattle; they are leaders of a similar one down here in LA). There were 9 girls in the piece (most of them I knew, a few I met) - we had about 6 rehearsals or so (starting the day I landed in LA). The piece was scary (as you can see from the pics) - thrashy jazz hip hop.
We arrived at the venue on Halloween at 2pm - ran the piece with lights and then returned at 5:30 to run the show full out before the actual one. Then we ate sushi across the street and returned at 9pm to get ready. We did our make up in a parking garage because there were so many dancers in the event - luckily it was fun and scary make up! The show soon began at 11 and the venue was packed! We were the 2nd piece in the show and had a great time performing it. Everyone really enjoyed it!
It was definitely an experience to remember and it was great hanging out and meeting new people.
Nick and Anna, the choreographers...
The legendary Carnival sign in the background... all decorated with spider webs for Halloween.
8 of the 9 girls in the piece... we look pretty huh? :)
Being funny...
Close up with Khai and Elm in the back, they came to watch.
Cobey and I... LA smog has already attacked us!
Teresa (one of my roommates), Anna (one of the choreographers), and Tu.
Me, Jeffrey, and Cobey.
Me and my Halloween Dunks.. they have a tombstone on the side of them with 103107 written on it. You know me! :)
