My mom came to visit me in California!

As you probably know, my mom came down to visit me for 4 full days in California. We did so much... we ate so much... we walked so much... and we smiled and laughed so much. I love you mom!

Day 1: relaxed on Manhattan Beach, ate lunch, watched Mama Mia!
Day 2: woke up at 4am, drove to San Pedro to catch the boat to Catalina Island, spent the whole there: laying out, swimming, snorkeling, shopping, etc.
Day 3: went to the Grove (outdoor shopping center), ate breakfast, went shopping at a Farmers Market, walked around Melrose, and ate an Italian dinner (waitresses are all aspiring singers, they sing in between serving).
Day 4: went to Universal Studios! Rode the Simpsons ride, the Mummy, Jurassic Park, Backdraft, watched Fear Factor live, etc.

!*** 4th of July ***!

4th of July weekend was great. A bunch of us headed down south to Aliso Viejo - the founder of one of our dance groups (in Seattle) was holding a get together... there were about 30 of us. We spent the day at the pool, had a bbq, and headed to Laguna Beach for the fireworks.

Aliso Viejo is about an hour from Hollywood... lots of hills and very peaceful.

Amy and I. She made deviled eggs and I made rice krispy treats.

At the pool during the day with some of the group. I've grown :)

Some of us hanging out, eating lots of food! Everyone but one is from Seattle.

Getting ready to head to Laguna Beach.

Laguna Beach!

Very busy place... Cars and people everywhere. Nothing like downtown Seattle though; at least it was a small concentrated spot rather than an entire city.

Pretty sunset!

Beautiful! Past the beach is where the fireworks took off from.

Hanging out in the sand waiting for the fireworks. I took the pic of some of the group.

Taking firework pictures is tricky! Big red one!

Glowing ball of fire!

Pretty one. The firework in the distance is from Newport Beach's show. They have them all along the coast at major beaches.

After the show... People everywhere!!

Xoxo - i hope you all had a fun one too!

Hermosa Beach - Great Place!

I had a free day today.. decided to see something new. I went to Hermosa Beach. Really nice place, full of people, volleyball, and surfing.

Monument before the pier... dedicated to the surfers and lifeguards.

Beach tennis tournament. New, interesting sport.

So pretty! Very clean beach and nice houses. The next beach up is Manhattan.

Surfer side. Good place to learn, the waves aren't too big. Next beach down is Redondo.

Long pier.

Underneath the pier. It looked cool.

I got my hair done in the morning... They straightened it!

Playing around with Photoshop.

XOXOXO! Amyjo

Pen and paper

This is what I do when I'm bored.. Draw weird pictures. The people all kind of look alike and could fit into a show. They all have big eyes, noses, lips, and hair. This is the older brother of the series :)

Jesse is now a Marine!

I already sent an email out to just about everyone with my pics from Jesse's graduation from the Marines. But if you missed it... click the link below!

We spent 2 days at boot camp. The 1st day was family day and the 2nd day was graduation day. I was thoroughly entertained, loved the orderliness, uniforms, and muscles :)

Go J.T. Williamson. He rocks!

Party Bus!

Two of our great friends are getting married and just moved back to Seattle to settle down. They were just about the first to migrate down to Cali to dance... been here for 4 yrs or so. We held a going away party for them and rented a party bus! There were about 30 or so of us and it was a fun time.

Party bus picked us up outside our house. It was huge!

It was packed!
